Another way to search for a topic is by keyword or word. Keyword searching allows you to search for individual words or phrases in the title, subject, and other fields in the record. Remember that when you use the keyword option to search, the results may not be aboutyour topic. A word is a single word. For example:
A phrase is a combination of two or more words that has a specific meaning. For example:
If you did a keyword search using the phrase "popular music," you would find items with that phrase located in various fields in different records. The phrase might appear in theTitle field as it does below. |
You would also find items with the phrase "popular music" located in the Subject field. |
And sometimes you would find items with the phrase "popular music" located in other fields of the record, such as notes, summary, etc. |
